Friends of Arundel Cathedral Summer Celebration 18th July 2014

On a warm summer’s evening in mid-July, we were honoured to have Bishop Richard Moth, Bishop of the Forces, preside over our Vespers Service in the Cathedral as part of The Friends Summer Celebration event in the Collector Earls Garden in Arundel Castle grounds.
Lewes Schola Cantorum impressed and moved us with their singing and Bishop Richard cleverly linked his homily to raising the profile of The Friends of Arundel Cathedral.
What a delight to gather in the Collector Earls Garden in Arundel Castle grounds by kind permission of His Grace, the Duke of Norfolk, for drinks and canapés with members of The Friends and their friends afterwards, whilst the Dan Oates Trio skilfully played a variety of entertaining music in the background. Our grateful thanks go especially to Martin Duncan, Arundel Castle’s head gardener for his fascinating and informative tour of the resplendent and enchanting gardens which were a joy to behold.

A wonderful and special evening was enjoyed by all and will be remembered for some time to come.
Our grateful thanks go to His Grace, the Duke of Norfolk, Bishop Richard Moth, Lewes Schola Cantorum, Dan Oates Trio, Martin Duncan and all the organising undertaken by The Friends Trustees.
